Hair Trauma

So yesterday I decided to lighten my hair more. I've been trying to get my hair to a normal color blonde for months and months now. Back in December I had black hair and decided I needed a change. So since then I have been dedicated to lightening it every chance I got. Yesterday though, it all came back to bit me in the butt. When I had the black hair it was healthy and shiny and long and just beautiful. Ever since it's been blonde, it has been having some issues. Very brittle, dry and needed lots of attention. Well yesterday I went to get it lightened and it tragically just gave up on me. Some of the pieces turned very white blonde and have now decided to break off :( I was really upset and freaking out because I take a lot of time on my hair and it use to be so beautiful to see it just break right off really makes me sad. I tried an avocado, egg, mayo, and olive oil treatment on it to hopefully give it some strength back but I'm not sure it will help :( Does anyone have any suggestions on some good products to try to get my hair some strength back? Any ideas are welcomed :)

  1. My hair is naturally curly, like ringlet curly, and i hate it. So ever since grade nine I've been straightening it almost every day. So as you can imagine, it has become brittle and dry and is full of split ends so I'll have to get literally inches off of my hair when ever i get it cut...which sucks because I love my long hair. What i do to get some moisture back in there is warm olive oil up in the microwave for 15 seconds and apply it to your hair, not getting too close to the roots. then put your hair up in a plastic shower cap for 30 minutes, and wash it out, using shampoo and conditioner. It really helps add moisture and shine. The way you tell it, your hair is completely damaged, so that treatment isn't going to fix the problem completely, so go to a professional. They'll tell you exactly what to do to fix it. Good luck, and i'm sorry about your hair! D:

  2. I've been bleaching my hair so much and it seemed like everything was fine! UNTIL my roots were showing like crazy and I decided to dye it back to black. I've been dying my hair since the 6th grade and I always found it to be healthy until that last dye job. SO, I bouth this CHI Keratin Mist on sale at Walgreens for $3 (instead of the retail of about $14) and my hair is so healthy! Just use it everytime you take a shower and it dries and try not to use so much product in your hair (especially heat) and hopefully that works for you!
